Room Available in Prospect Heights!

Hey!

We are a couple in their late twenties looking for a responsible but laid-back roomie to join our apartment ASAP! The available room is 10. 5' x 10. 5', with two full windows and lots of light (southern exposure is good for the soul). There is room for a queen bed and a desk and/or dresser, though there is plenty of storage space in the 6' x 2' mirrored closet in the room as well. We have hardwood floors throughout and baseboard heating, a fully furnished common area with a convertible couch, TV with Netflix/Hulu/HBO Go, a kitchen with a dishwasher, and wi-fi. The apartment is set up so that the bedrooms are on opposite ends with the living room/kitchen/bathroom in the middle so you will have plenty of privacy. We also have a friendly, slightly pudgy cat named Gouda - if you have a cat friend for her we are open to meeting them! (The building is not dog-friendly, unfortunately).

I am an artist that has a night job at a nearby restaurant and he works at CBS who does freelance film on the side. We've been in the neighborhood almost 3 years and love the area - Sit & Wonder is a great cafe across the street, Bearded Lady is a bar on the opposite corner, and there are a ton of other options for dining & bars within walking distance to Crown Heights and Park Slope. We are a short walk to Prospect Park, the Central Library, and the farmer's market on Saturdays. A large laundromat with drop-off available is a block away and Compare is a well-stocked supermarket 5 minutes from the apartment. The C train is 7 minutes away, and the 2, 3 and B, Q are about 10 minutes away, and the 4, 5 are about a 15 minute walk away. The building is a third-floor walkup and offers communal storage space in the basement for your needs, and bikes are stored in the hallway by all the tenants.

We are looking for someone who is clean (although we're not anal about it ourselves) and friendly - we are very respectful of privacy as we enjoy it too, but would also love to have r&r with a beer & Game of Thrones in the living room once in a while.

Rent is $2150 which includes all utilities. First month's rent & security is required and utilities will be included in your rent. Our lease runs until July of 2016 and we would like someone who could stay with us until then if possible.
