I have a large private studio apartment available in a 2-story house a three block walk from the Wilson L-train stop or the Bushwick-Aberdeen stop and 1 block from the JMZ. It is available now and contingent only on a short interview and payment for 1st months rent and 1 month security deposit. I'm looking for someone motivated to secure a July 1st or earlier move-in date.

The house is spacious, has two floors, a garage, a private back deck, a washer/dryer/dishwasher, ample closet space in and out of the room, and a shared kitchen/living-room common area on the 2nd floor.

The room/studio for rent is very private and extremely spacious. It comes with its own bathroom w/shower-bathtub combo, giant walk-in closet, 2 windows overlooking the deck, and brand new hardwood floors. Deck access is steps away and features a small garden and 'floating' recliner chairs.

My name is Justin and I am a 31 year old VP of a company that designs video walls for TV news sets, daytime talk and late night comedy shows. I am also a musician and visual artist. My girlfriend works almost full-time and goes to school part time as a graduate student in Psychology. During my free time I love to kick back and read, but I also enjoy going out and enjoying all that NYC and Brooklyn have to offer.

What I am looking for in a roommate:?

Nothing in particular! Stable income, someone who respects common spaces, likes to treat their home as more of a sanctuary than a major party house. If you're wondering about having guests, get-togethers, small parties, & barbecues etc. are always fine, and I am easy going about cleaning as long as everyone pitches in on the simple stuff like putting used dishes in the dishwasher or helping to take out garbage regularly as a communal task.

I'm very social but don't mind a roommate who spends a lot of time out or alone. My girlfriend and I just want a comfortable, relaxed living situation. Please don't apply if you're prone to passive aggressive BS like notes left on the fridge about someone touching your rotten food you forgot to throw away...etc. Other than that, we are very nice and communicative when it comes to resolving small household issues and we welcome communication and are very hospitable to those we live with!

If you're a couple applying then I will take it under consideration despite marking this ad under 'no couples.' Under the right circumstances I'll, & the rent is going to be raised to $1500 to reflect that. Either way, you're essentially going to have an entire floor to yourself so privacy and personal space will not be in issue as it would in smaller apartments.

This neighborhood is great and pretty soon nice spacious apartments for this price will be very hard to find in bushwick.
