Room wanted in New Rochelle, Westchester County...

I am looking for a room. Preferably on the first floor or in an elevated building. I am a permanently disabled individual. I live on social security disability. Which I receive on or about the 3rd of each month. I am unable to work. I am a quiet, clean individual, who basically stays to herself. I am usually out at least 3-4 times a week. I might want to have my adult son come to visit me once a week but no more than 2 hrs per time. I’d like to be close to the bus routes, or not far from the train. I’m thinking on the Sound towns. Harrison, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, New Rochelle, Port Chester area. I would need access to kitchen for cooking purposes, as well as a bathroom. If there were to be laundry access that would be preferable. I am in no way, shape or form, a partier. I also have a queen size bed that is relatively new, so I’d like to bring it with me, wherever I go. I have to be out of my present residence by 5/7. I was supposed to move in on that day as well to an apt in Mount Vernon but I have a feeling that may not work out. I’d rather be safe then sorry.
