Looking For A Room In Or Around Nyc

Hi. I am going to move back to NYC on June 05 and am looking for a room to rent. I am moving from out of town and therefore I cannot come to meet you and view the apartment in advance, but I can provide references, if you wish. A few pictures would be helpful, so that I have an image in my mind of the the room and the apartment. A place in the outer boroughs is probably best, because I can’t afford the crazy Manhattan rents.

About me: I am nice, male, older, honest, peaceful, open-minded, easy to get along with, non-smoking, mostly vegetarian (but I have nothing against meat-eaters), and I am vaccinated against COVID-19. I keep things clean and don’t leave dirty dishes in the sink. I have a lot of experience living in shared apartments/houses with roommates. I have the money to pay the rent and I am conscientious about paying the rent on time.

Here are some of the features I hope to find:

- a friendly, nice principal tenant from whom to rent the room
- a room with a bed
- a month-to-month or week to week arrangement. I figure it is best to start out with a temporary arrangement and if all goes well, we can discuss extending my stay.
- If you accept the rent by Zelle, all the better.
- I prefer to live with those who do not smoke in the apartment, but if they smoke only in their room, that’s fine with me.

The website forces me to choose a specific part of the city, but I am open to considering other areas too.
