Mature lady here, recent transplant to New York and looking for a room/shared place anywhere in New York City and environs. Very youthful middle-aged woman extremely athletic - love to hike and walk many miles every day.
Financially independent but looking for economical accommodations. Former home owner for decades now looking to enjoy a less encumbered life, i. e. no acreage to mow, snow-bound winters and ancient trees crashing into garage.
Very tidy and conscious of keeping household costs and energy expenditure down. Very, very good at taking care of home maintenance because I raised two kids in a huge house as a single mother. No stranger to a broom, hammer or broken pipe.
More good things: world travelled and very well educated, keep current with international politics and events, am an avid reader of everything. Great conversationalist but respectful of privacy and boundaries.
Current room rental, alas, must be vacated soon for owner's family member. Very sorry to leave but have become friends with them and they can give references. Can provide others as well. Love pets, gardening and people. But, I don't "bring the party home."
