25 y/o Arizonan looking to rent private room

My name is Martin Gutierrez. I am a 25 year old male from Tucson, Arizona. I am a photographer. I recently moved to New York City August 3rd in hopes of finding work in my field. I am interested in renting a room in a 2-4 bedroom apartment In Manhattan, UWS, UES, Chelsea, Soho, West Village or East Village, Or in Brooklyn, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Ft Green, Downtown, Bushwick. My rental budget is relatively low, $700 - $1000 max with utilities included. I would prefer roommates in their 20's or early 30's. I am straight, single, and respect any religion, race, gender, or orientation in others. I love pets, especially cats, but did NOT bring any with me. My hobbies and interests include skateboarding, cycling, and music, both listening and playing. I appreciate art and humor. I am easy to get along with and very friendly to everyone I meet. I don't smoke or do drugs, but I do enjoy going out and having a drink on occasion.
Although I DO NOT have a job lined up yet, I am a responsible person and I DO HAVE enough money saved for at least three months minimum, possibly up to 5 months, depending on the monthly rent, and for this reason I am seeking a short term lease, rather than a year. I would definitely stay longer if I am able to find employment. Except for my current 30 day sublet, I do not have any previous renting experience. But as I said earlier, I am a responsible person and I am very respectful of other peoples property. I have lived in the same house with my parents for 24 yrs, I am relatively self sufficient, and I have been taught to clean up after myself and to be efficient and thorough. I hope my lack of rental experience does not deter from considering me because I am very serious about renting a room. I understand the importance of paying bills on time and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
