Grad Student on Rotation

Hello, I am looking for a furnished room with access to a bathroom and kitchen, hopefully with parking so I can drive to my clinical rotations. Female or male roommates are ok, no smoking is the only thing I ask. New to city living, so a nice quiet neighborhood would be great. I will be out of the room for most of the workday, and writing my dissertation in the evenings, so I won't make much noise. :) Evening of June 27, 2014 (Fri) or morning of June 28 (Sat) is when I need to move in since clinical rotations start that next Monday. Also, before any decision is made, I would like to visit and be sure of conditions before moving in (female moving to NYC on her own... doesn't seem too unreasonable).

This is the tricky bit: I would need a room near New Hyde Park from June 27th to August 22nd, then a room near Mt Kisco from August 22nd to November 22nd. "Near" just means within 30 minutes commuting time.

I know it's a strange request, and it is short time periods, but I would be very grateful if you can help.
