Within minutes (drive), you can be at the Point Ruston waterfront enjoying fully paved walkingriding trails, bike rental, kayak rental, etc. It's about minutes to a stunning "forest" state park called Pt. Defiance. It's a mile area with both paved and nature trails, a rose garden, oriental garden, zoo, aquarium, Owen Beach, and Dunes Park (adult slides), etc.
