1 bedroom available (approx 11’ x 13’) in a 2.5 bedroom house near Carytown in the City Stadium neighborhood. Parking is easy on our street with the exception of Watermelon Festival once a year. Walking distance to Carytown, the Kickers Stadium (farmers market on Sundays!), museums, and Maymont is a huge plus!
Rent ($2,209/month) split 3 ways is $736 each plus about $100 for utilities each month (give or take a little extra for heat or AC depending on the season). We do have central air and change the filters regularly.
Shared spaces include a full bath upstairs, half bath downstairs with laundry, huge kitchen with dishwasher, dining room, living room, front porch, backyard, and a small garage we use for storage/shed. Most of the house is currently furnished, but we’re happy to rearrange, store some things, and make room if you have some things to add to the shared spaces.
Our last housemate moved out at the end of June, so that bedroom is completely empty. That bedroom has a new window and we also just had it repainted so it’s “fresh” for you!
It’s a 99 year old house and has its creaks and quirks for sure, but we’ve lived here for nine years and plan to stay a couple more!
I am a teacher with a second job at a cidery and my husband works retail, so I get up early and we are around most evenings but don’t stay up late. We are fairly quiet people but also enjoy having friends over to watch backyard movies (we have a screen and projector) and hang around the makeshift fire pit. We are working on some gardening in the back and Josh loves to cook, so you might get to enjoy the benefits of that, too! We are looking for someone who will respect shared spaces and help keep them clean. We also already have two adorable and friendly cats, so no extra pets at this time…but feel free to snuggle ours!
The current lease runs through June 2025.
