Room for rent, less than 10 mins from CSUS

I’m subletting a room in my East Sacramento home, for $1,050 a month, utilities and wifi included. I live in the house with my 14 year old dachshund and anti-social cat that thinks the house is a flop house to sleep at during the day so he can pursue the town in the evenings.

The room is furnished, photos are current. This is my home office that I have decided to rent out. Can move some or all furniture into the basement if not wanted/needed.

The neighborhood is a very quiet, nice/upscale residential part of Sacramento called East Sacramento. I’m two blocks from East Portal Park, 5 minutes from Sac State and less than 10 minutes from multiple hospitals.

Here are some unique facts about the household thanks to COVID:

My dog, Chico, will try to abandon me for your attention. MUST LOVE DOGS! Open to one more dog depending on breed and if they get along with my animals with an additional deposit.

The bathroom is shared as there is only one. Shared bathroom means using for toilet/shower and sink water. All personal primping (hair and make-up, if that’s your thing) is requested to do in your rented room. I will do the same.

Must love plants! COVID gave me my new hobby; plants! And I got some. Wouldn’t it be awesome if you liked plants too??!! I have a greenhouse that I would be more than happy to share!

Out of caution for COVID, my preference is to only have one tenant.

House Details:

I keep the house at 72 degrees in the summer. We get A LOT of sun so this is what helps keep the whole house stay comfortable.

I have a fully stocked house with kitchen necessities, bathroom towels, and odds and ends that are needed like tools that I am more than happy to share.

I’m pretty laid back and am also fairly accommodating.

There is a long driveway that fits 2 cars (and a greenhouse, PLANTS!!) and plenty of parking on the side of the house if you didn’t want to park on the street.

There is a basement for storage. Its about the 1/4 of the size of the house.

I’m hoping for a good fit personality-wise (not looking for a loud and crazy person who still needs to party and thinks it’s fun to bring strangers home five nights a week).
This is a joyful home with positive vibes only. Would love to share it with someone that is looking to enjoy and add to it.

In summary it’s a beautiful home with a unique living situation because of COVID and I’m hoping it’ll be mutually beneficial for someone out there.

***Will need a copy of your hospital contract (if you’re a traveling nurse), a current paystub as proof of income (you can block out the ssn) and at least two recent rental references.
