Room available in Sunnyside 2BR 2/1

My roommates are looking to temporarily sublet one room in their 2BR apartment in Sunnyside, Queens beginning Feb 1st, 2017 for 1-3 months (potentially longer).

You can't beat our apartment's location--just one-min walk away from the closest 7 train stop, and a 15-min train ride into Manhattan (Grand Central and Times Square).

Rent + utilities is $1,300 per month.

ABOUT THE APARTMENT:
This is a pre-war building and we live on a 4th floor walk-up; our our apartment unit was recently renovated as well. Our neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves; mostly families live in the building and in this neighborhood.

The kitchen is fully stocked--we have a microwave, an oven, a toaster oven, a blender, a slow cooker (crockpot), a refrigerator, and plenty of miscellaneous cooking gear (utensils and herbs/spices).

The living room is a common space, and we usually hang back on our L-shaped couch to watch Netflix or play some video games on our 46" TV. We're not party people, so we typically enjoy hanging out at home--you're more than welcome to take command of the TV when you want to use it, just ask us! :)

The bedroom you'll be staying in is fairly spacious and has a giant window overlooking the quiet street. The room will be furnished with a bed, dresser and a table (as you can see in the photos), but some items in the pictures like the monitor screen will not be included. It also has a closet for you to hang your clothes. In the summer, when the trees are flowering with lush green leaves, you'll be able to see them just right outside your window as well.

Despite the proximity of the subway station to our apartment, we can't hear any train noises at all. In fact, our entire neighborhood is much quieter than any other in Manhattan.

The building allows small pets, but we don't have any. No cigarette smoking is allowed in the apartment.

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

This is such a beautiful and safe neighborhood! Our block was featured on Thrillist. com as one of the "most beautiful streets in New York City" Walk across Queens Boulevard and you'll see the Empire State Building towering in the horizon, with its colorful lights glinting at night.

We're also right within the vicinity of the Sunnyside Gardens Historic District, which might account for its beautiful garden-like environment.

We have dozens of ethnically-diverse restaurants (Filipino, Tibetan, Chinese, Latino, Peruvian, Thai, American, etc); Starbucks just 1-min walk away!; a 24-hour grocery store just a few mins walk away; several pubs and bars (some Irish); laundromats within a few blocks; Chase and Bank of America bank branches; and more!

If you're into Pokemon Go, we have two gyms just a 1-min walk away, and 5-7 Pok?Stops within a 2-block radius. You can also hit five gyms in 45-min run.

ABOUT US:
We're a married gay couple in our late 20s. We both work a regular 9-5 job (one is a media analyst, and the other works at a nonprofit). We're both friendly and sociable, but also pretty low-key. We're not big on parties and would ask that you don't bring the party home with you as well, though we occasionally like to invite a few friends over to hang out, polish off a bottle of wine, and watch a movie or play a game or something along those lines.

We both like to cook (Husband A is a wizard with our crockpot and Husband B makes a mean banana bread), and we're happy to share and do apartment potlucks, if you're into that. We always clean up after ourselves and are looking for roommates who will do that same. We have an Apple TV with Netflix and Hulu, and we're big on shows like Game of Thrones, Veep, Parks & Recreation, etc. We love video games and often play our PS3, PS4, and Wii, which you're more than welcome to use as well.

YOU:
You should be clean and are able to clean after yourselves (i. e. don't leave dishes in the sink overnight). We're looking for someone who's respectful of each other's spaces.

Overall, we're pretty easy to live with and are looking for roommates who fit that sort of dynamic.
