Where: Sunnyside Queens. Only 2 1/2 blocks from the #7 train (20 minutes to midtown). It's a safe neighborhood (I feel comfortable walking home at any time of the night), with a variety of great restaurants, supermarkets, and drugstores all within a few blocks on Greenpoint Ave or Queens Blvd. Sunnyside was rated the 3rd best place to live in NYC in New York Magazine.
What: The available room is a large 12 ft x 17 ft, with hardware floors, and great afternoon light from two windows on the west side. Partial furnishing is available (futon, shelving, desk & chair) There is a small kitchen and bathroom that is shared.
Pets: I have one (friendly) cat, and prefer no additional pets in the apartment. Apartment is also smoke free.

Me: I'm a freelance video editor, and do most of my work from the house. I would prefer a roommate who works outside of the home during the day.

Rent: is $1000 and includes electric and wireless internet. First month's rent, plus security, is required upon move-in.
