NYS COVID-19 TRAVEL ADVISORY
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced new guidelines allowing travelers to New York to “test out” of the mandatory 14-day quarantine. Travelers from states that are contiguous with New York are exempt from the travel advisory; however covered travelers must continue to fill out the Traveler Health Form. Essential workers will continue to be exempt as well. The guidance also applies to international travelers coming from any CDC Level 2 or Level 3 Health Notice country. The new protocol is effective Wednesday, November 4.

For any traveler to New York State from a noncontiguous state, US territory or CDC level 2 or level 3 country, the new guidelines for travelers to test-out of the mandatory 14-day quarantine are below:
・For travelers who were out-of-state for more than 24 hours:
・Travelers must obtain a test within three days of departure, prior to arrival in New York.
・The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days.
・On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID test. If both tests comes back negative, the traveler may exit quarantine early upon receipt of the second negative diagnostic test.

Elmhurst is one of the most unique neighborhoods in New York City. Elmhurst has all from multifamily homes, co-op and apartment buildings. Immigrants, especially from Asia and Latin America, have made Elmhurst one of the most diverse parts of Queens. Take a stroll along Elmhurst, there are a variety of small shops and restaurants along prosperous Woodside Avenue, near Elmhurst Hospital Center.

One of the most highly recommended establishments is the Vietnamese restaurant called Joju. Joju Bowl, the recommended dish at this place, is a sandwich deconstructed into rice bowl form. However, the most famous is still the original sandwich. The classic Caramel Pork Banh Mi is also a go-to.

If you like some Thai cuisine, try Lamoon. The mango salad with eggs with the tanginess of the vinegar and spiciness of the peppers is the go-to. Another recommendation is the Khao Soi with chicken which is the creamy coconut-based curry. The noodles in the sauce, topped with the same noodles deep fried is divine. Another signature dish is the Kang Hung Lay, the Thai style pork belly stew which is super tender and savory, ginger and soy in the broth along with a number of other spices.
The building is located in Elmhurst , also known as the tiny Chinatown in Queens.
