{The Space}

I am offering an all inclusive, fully furnished bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Astoria. I am open to both long and short term situations. Year lease applicants considered first. Available now.

The room is outfitted with a queen size lofted bed, loveseat/fold out sleeper, armoire, desk, 42” flatscreen, full length mirror, lots of storage and all of the bedding and common accessories to make it comfortable. The tv is outfitted with an Amazon Firestick and multiple streaming platforms installed including Sling Cable, Netflix, Hulu, HBOMax, Paramount, Discovery+, etc. Bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the space from one another separated by the bathroom, so there’s a privacy buffer there.

The entire apt is flooded with lots of natural light, large windows, bright rooms and modern updates. Features stone countertops, hard wood and bright tiled floors, high ceilings, and a spacious and bright bathroom and common area. It has updates to maximize space and functionality as well as keep the aesthetic fresh and modern. The common area has a full kitchen that is outfitted with every kitchen appliance and essential you’d likely need. I recently added a floating island with a bar top and bar chairs for more counter and storage space.. The space is completely furnished with all common amenities and essentials. In saying this, there's no room for additional furniture or possibility of moving/switching out the existing furniture. Small accessories and decorative items are welcome in your private space but I like to keep common areas as is and personally maintain the aesthetic of the space as I’m the one who has the responsibility of renting the room when it needs to be filled. There is also a large fenced back patio with a fire pit/bbq.

The ideal tenant is employed, in their 30’s or older and doesn’t have guests over often. Since it is a furnished and shared space you should be someone who is clean, tidy and respectful of the fact that you are occupying someone else’s home and furnishings and sharing common areas with another person. When filling the room I look for someone who is compatible and I am confident will coexist harmoniously with no problems. I believe it’s important when an issue arises to address it immediately with a civil and friendly discussion and not let things fester and problems manifest. I try to avoid tension and conflict and opt for kindness and convo while maintaining personal boundaries because I believe your home should be your solitude and a place of relaxation away from the regular stresses of the world. If you share this sentiment you’re likely a good fit!

{AROUND}

We are right between 2 subway stations. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Steinway and 46th Street subway stations on the R/M line. 15 minute train ride into the city. There are multiple laundromats very close to the building with self wash and drop off options. There are also some that pickup and deliver. Planning to put washer and dryer in the unit at some point hopefully soon. Four bodega & delis, a pizzeria, 3 taquerias, Indian restaurant, tapas & wine bar, 2 Irish pubs, hookah lounge, fuel station, grocery store, 2 cafes, 2 bakeries, nail salon, usps office, car detailing shop, European market, rite aid, banana republic factory, urgent care, and a liquor store are all in a one avenue length block proximity from the apartment. Street parking is fairly easy if you’re a driver. The street is fairly quiet yet just a short walk away from all of the best restaurants, gyms, and action that Astoria has to offer.
