Huge Room w/ Half Bath in Astoria Three-Bedroom!

A very spacious room with half bath is available for a one year lease for a female roommate. The apartment is a three-bedroom and is the basement and first floor of a row house; the open bedroom is the entire basement level. It's a very big room(about 21x15 feet) and comes with a full size closet and half bath (no shower). There is a shared bathroom with a shower on the first floor. The living room has hardwood floors. The kitchen was recently renovated and has stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher!). There is a small patio and backyard behind the house that is exclusive to our apartment (we don’t share it with anyone).

The rent is $1150/month plus utilities. Electric/Gas/Internet split three ways and paid monthly. Credit/background check required; you must have good credit (700+) and proof of income (landlord’s rules). Move-in date is flexible. Current lease is through the end of July 2022 with the option to renew for another year after that.

The current roommates are two young, professional women. Both of us have been vaccinated. We keep the apartment organized and clean, but aren’t not obsessive about it. We are looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, and clean. No pets, no smoking, no drugs. One of us doesn't drink, but doesn’t mind if you do on occasion. We can't make exceptions for pets; the lease doesn't allow them. Female preferred. Occasional guests are fine, but no big parties or live-in significant others. We like to keep the apartment a quiet and peaceful place to live and hope to find someone friendly and laid-back who is pleasant to live with!

We are right around the corner from the N/W at Broadway and a 10 minute walk to the M/R at Steinway. All the necessities are nearby: a Laundromat on the next block, a grocery store four blocks away, and a 24-hour greenmarket one block away. Astoria is a great neighborhood; there are a lot of families and young professionals. We're close to Broadway, a busy main street with plenty of restaurants (Greek, Italian, Japanese, Colombian, Thai, Chinese). We're about ten blocks from Steinway, a busy shopping street (Gap, Old Navy, a movie theatre). It's a twenty minute walk to Astoria Park and a ten minute walk to Socrates Sculpture Park on the East River.
