This is a lodger/house guest situation, and so the rest of the apartment is not shared for general use. Ideal for someone who doesn't cook much at home, since no access to the main kitchen.

The only people living here are me (my room is ensuite) and the person I rent one of my spare rooms to (you). Therefore, you have sole use of the main full bathroom with power shower over bath.

Fios internet is included. The room currently has a wide twin bed with a new 10-inch organic cotton medium-firm comfortable mattress.

Location is ideal: 8 minutes/3 subway stops from midtown Manhattan, Lexington 59th Street, via N/W trains. 4 subway stops from Grand Central.

The apartment is 2 minutes walk from Broadway and 36th Avenue subway stops (N/W line), and 4-5 minutes to Steinway Street subway stop (R/M line). It's a 20 minute subway ride to the lower Manhattan financial district or to the higher Upper East/West sides of Manhattan.

Suitable for someone mature, calm and clean who needs a relaxing room to unwind in. The room is not suitable for someone who intends to work from home. It will suit someone who is busy and focused and needs a place where they can be sure to have peace and calm to unwind.

Whilst situated on a quiet residential street, the apt is very close to every type of restaurant, bar, store, gym, movie theatre, service you could possibly need in Astoria, and all at affordable prices. In fact restaurant choice in Astoria is huge! It's a great neighborhood, and everyone who lives here seems to love the relaxed feel while still being only a stone?s throw from midtown Manhattan. A Via/Uber taxi home from Manhattan at night only costs $7-12. It is very safe at neighborhood - you will not need to worry if you come home late at night.
There is a laundromat immediately on the corner of the street, 20 seconds walk away which offers either self service or the full range of laundry services.

The only bill to pay is 30% of the ConEd bill. It depends on A/C use but it works out at roughly $35 per month in the summer, and $25 in winter.
