Bright Large Room, Walk-In Closet, Woodsidemaspeth

Hello everyone!

My girlfriend Humaira(F27) and I(M29) are looking to sublet a medium to large room in a 3BR/1B second floor private house for a minimum stay of 4 months in the Woodside/Maspeth area. We are looking for one person (no couples) to move in starting September 1st, 2023.

About the property:
We live on the spacious and bright second floor of a private house which includes 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The room we are offering is the second largest. It has a walk-in closet and a couple shelves and a cabinet (your choice to keep or remove, see pictures). There is also a functional in-wall A/C unit that just needs to be cleaned and re-freoned (at your expense). Natural gas heating will be turned on during the colder months. Due to its location in the back part of the house the room is quiet and cozy.

As for the rest of the house:
Stainless steel appliances, wood floor, additional pantry drawers. Living room/Dining area/Kitchen are shared by all and is open concept style

About the area:
The neighborhood is very green, residential and working-class, with several local businesses on the same street including:
- Chinese, Mexican, American, Peruvian restaurants
- Irish Pub
- Supermarket
- 2 Laundromats/Dry Cleaner
- Deli
- Liquor Store

Additionally:
- Beautiful park with tennis and track field just a 7-minute walk away
- Q67 and Q18 bus stop down the block
- Other businesses and stores including supermarkets, national banks and Q58, Q59 bus lines just an 8-minute walk away
- 20-25 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride via the Q18 to 61st Street - Woodside MTA/LIRR station where the 7 line runs local and express. Free shuttle to LGA (Q70) also available here.

About us:
You would be sharing a wall with two very warm and quiet full-time IT students with part-time jobs. We were both raised in Queens and love our heritages. As a Colombian-American, I am a native Spanish-speaker while my girlfriend is fluent in Bengali. When we're not working, we're usually out of the house by the late afternoon to study at our school and don't return until late hours. We don't party and rarely have guests over but encourage our roommates to have guests (as long as they follow proper policy of course). About the other roommate:
My mother Monica(F56) occupies the smallest room on the opposite side of the house. She’s friendly and reserved, works full-time during the day. Unlike Humaira and I, she cooks and usually watches TV in the evening.
