LF 1 roommate for 2 BR in Forest Hills

In search of a roommate for my 2 bedroom Forest Hills apartment starting April 1st, signing on to a 12 month lease. It might be possible to arrange an earlier move in. I’ve been in this building for the last 3 years, and I absolutely love it.

The available room is a little over 12ft x 14ft, fits a queen sized bed, has 2 closets, and features two windows! The apartment is on the 4th floor, gets beautiful light during the day, and has lovely classic touches like subway tiles in the shower and decorative wall trim in the living room. It’s an elevator building with a great super and laundry in the basement. The room can be furnished or unfurnished, but the rest of the apartment is furnished.

I’m a 39yo male. I’m pretty laid back and quiet, and someone similar would be the ideal fit for me. I’m seeking someone who is tidy and respectful in the common areas (leaving your dishes in the sink for a few hours is fine, but a few days isn’t).

The neighborhood is quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and the location is amazing! The apartment is a short walk to Forest Park, and Flushing Meadows Corona Park is close by as well. Only a couple blocks from a Key Foods, CVS, Chase Bank, Starbucks, and a biergarten! It’s a short walk (15 min) to downtown Forest Hills for tons of other restaurant and shopping options. The Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens subway stop (E & F trains) is a 4 min walk away and the Kew Gardens LIRR stop is a 10 min walk. Parking in the area is easy, and if you drive there’s super fast access to Grand Central Parkway and the Jackie Robinson Parkway.

Rent is $1500 a month with utilities included (electric/internet/gas/plenty of streaming services). Requires deposit of 1 month of rent for lease signing. Must have good income and decent credit to sign on to lease!
