Shared home with private outdoor space!

Basics:
- Pictures from previous tenants! Will be cleaned and unfurnished for move in.
- 3 bed/2 bath/awesome private outdoor space
- Sublease; flexible but prefer someone long term
- Need proof of income & security deposit (equal to 1 month's rent)

Room Availability Breakdown:
1300 - 1 person; larger room (balcony)
1100 - 1 person; smaller room
OR
2100 - couple; 2 rooms
OR
2000 - 1 person; apartment shared equally
(depending on who moves in, we can reconfigure the space in a way that works for all of us!)

- Utilities can be high, about $200 total in the summer and up to $600 in the winter (split equally)

About the place:
An absolute gem of a place! The apartment is a 2-story 3 bed/2 bath on the second floor of the building. On the first floor there is a shared kitchen and living room; they are both on the smaller side. Two of the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the first floor. Shared bathroom on first floor. One of the bedrooms includes a large balcony. Upstairs is the final bedroom, bathroom and access to the private roof.

Please note that pictures are from previous tenants. I have plenty of stuff I can move in, though I would welcome additional furniture/art/etc. and would prefer to collaborate on getting the apartment looking great together! There is not a ton of storage space, but we can get creative 😊

There are two other tenants in the building and one of them is my good friend.

About the neighborhood:
Astoria-Ditmars neighborhood. Quiet, residential street just blocks away from everything you’d want or need! It’s a 10 minute walk to the N&W and a 20 minute walk to Astoria park. There is amazing Greek, Italian, Ramen, etc. A laundromat a block away and a 24/7 grocery store on the corner. It’s a safe and adorable neighborhood.

Hi, I’m Steph (she/her). I am fun, kind, responsible, communicative, flexible and overall a great person to live and be friends with! I am from NJ originally but have lived in a lot of places, including the PNW for a long time. I work in public health and I have a mostly remote, 9-5 schedule. I love going on adventures; hiking, exploring, traveling. I also like low-key stuff like being cozy at home, self-care, reading and board games. I am Jewish and left politically; my values are important to me but I’m pretty chill about it. I really just like hanging and chatting with friends! If it means anything to you, I am an enneagram 6w7, ENFJ and gemini sun and cancer rising.

I have 2 very sweet and well-behaved kitties (River and Bella) and I’m an excellent pet mama. Strong preference for people who like cats; they would be happy to play and cuddle with you. You would in no way be responsible for them, but it would be nice to have someone who wouldn’t mind caring/hanging with them if I’m gone for a weekend. Unfortunately, cannot have any additional pets

What I’m looking for:
I am looking for folks in their late 20s through early 40s who are responsible and collaborative. We don’t need to be best friends but it’s really important to me to have some sense of community in my living space. I will be living here for the long term and want the space to feel like home.

Ideally, I would love a **low-key** communal set up (occasional shared dinners, board game or movie nights, etc.). I have a car and would be happy to share it if that made sense (decent street parking). I respect and value privacy, but I would love for the roof and balcony to be shared for everyone’s enjoyment. I plan on securing the spaces so my cats can go outside as well.

I am reasonable with guests, etc. As long as we communicate, I’m pretty easy. It would be fun to host things occasionally too.
