Male Roommate, $900, Bedroom + Office

Ad ref# 102209313

The apartment was renovated a few years ago. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and an office. There is one bathroom.

Renting bedroom and office. You get two rooms for $1200. If you only want to one bedroom, the price is $900.

Move-In: December 1 or later. $250 deposit. Open to short-term, at least through May 2024.

Rent plus utilities (enhanced wifi, a Spectrum cable package, and gas). The utilities average about $75/month and AC in room. Each room has a closet. 4th-floor walk-up. Right at the 1 train. About 3 blocks from the A train. We split the utilities.

Just a few blocks from Target, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Planet Fitness, Blink, UPS Store, USPS, Urgent Care; Other Restaurants: Dominican, Thai, Italian, Irish, Mexican, and more; Retail: GAP Outlet, Marshalls, Staples, about 35-40 minutes to mid-town. We are just a few blocks from Yeshiva University. We're just a few subway stops from Columbia's medical and dental schools. We're about 30 minutes from Fordham's Lincoln Center campus.

The room is furnish (bed--full size, nightstand, dresser).

There is no washer/dryer in the building but there are two places to drop-off laundry or do your own.

One roommate is a professor (and will be away on a work project on location and will be gone for weeks at a time) and the other roommate works at a local hospital. We are both away most of the day Mon-Fri.

Everyone in the apartment is religious so if you're looking for a place to have overnight romantic guests do not reply.

I'm totally open for graduate students who need a place for until the end of the 2024 school year. The preference is for working professionals.

Also open to remote workers and simply need a place during the work weeks.

Seeking an ideal roommate for this apartment:

(1) Cleanliness is key: We highly value a clean living space. If you have a strong penchant for cleanliness and are willing to actively participate in maintaining our hygiene standards, we're open to offering a significant rent reduction. We keep the bathroom sink and toilet immaculate, often cleaning them daily. If you're meticulous about cleanliness, you'll fit right in. We also have a no-shoes policy indoors.

(2) Early bedtime enthusiasts are welcome: If you prefer going to bed early, that's perfectly fine with us.

(3) Transitional or New York newcomers: We welcome individuals in transitional stages of life or those new to the city. Whether you're planning to stay for 6 months, a year, or longer, you're invited to join us.

(4) Respectful of diverse beliefs: While we maintain a generally Christian environment, we're open to all religions. We simply ask that you respect our policy regarding overnight romantic guests.

(5) A serene haven: Our place is generally quiet, and we rarely have visitors. If you're seeking a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle, this could be your ideal home.

(6) Kitchen etiquette: We don't fry food in the apartment, and we prefer to avoid strong food odors. If you share these preferences or frequently dine out or order in, you'll feel at home. If you're the type to leave dishes in the sink without cleaning up promptly, please look elsewhere.

(9) Minimalist common areas: We maintain a minimalist vibe in our shared spaces, prioritizing a clutter-free environment.

(10) Non-smoking and tidy: If you prefer a non-smoking and clutter-free living environment, you'll be a great fit. However, if you need to work from home most days, this may not be the best choice.

(11) Respectful of boundaries: We do not accommodate overnight romantic guests. We seek a roommate who values privacy and fosters a respectful atmosphere in our home, ensuring it remains a peaceful sanctuary for all.

(12) Optional storage: If you require additional storage, a storage unit about 10 minutes away is available for $15/month.

(13) Relaxation and quiet: If you enjoy a quiet place to unwind during evenings and weekends, you'll find it here.

(14) Alcohol-friendly, drug-free: While we maintain a drug-free environment in terms of smoking and injections, we're very alcohol-friendly, especially when it comes to bourbon.

(15) Built on trust and respect: What makes this apartment work is our mutual trust and respect for each other's use of the space.

(16) Collective cleanliness: We keep our common areas exceptionally clean and are seeking roommates who not only clean up after themselves but are also willing to help maintain the cleanliness of shared spaces
