Fully furnished, sun-drenched bedroom in a spacious 3 bedroom, corner unit high-rise apartment with a balcony. This includes a private half a bathroom. The other full bathroom has a bathtub and shower which is shared.

This upper westside building is security-monitored with round the clock doormen.

It is one and a half blocks from Central Park and the B & C (8th Avenue) subways, two blocks from the 1, 2 and 3 (6th Avenue) subways on Broadway.

Another two blocks away is a small shopping mall that includes Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Home Goods, Michaels and a Chase Bank. Within a 3-block radius are additional local markets, dry cleaners, shoemaker, barber, delis, restaurants, health food store, liquor stores, post office and Duane Reade. The Central Park Tennis Club is two blocks into the park.

The bedroom includes a Queen-sized bed, small desk, dresser with mirror and drawers, bedside table with lamp, air conditioner and a 32 in. flat-screen TV with cable/DVR and DVD player. DSL wireless access is included, as are all utilities, amenities and incidentals from toilet paper to laundry detergent for the in-unit washer and dryer.

You will have full access to the kitchen and its appliances. The apartment, including the bedroom, is cleaned on a bi-weekly basis, which includes freshly-washed towels weekly and sheets bi-weekly. The full bathroom shower / tub is shared, but timing is never an issue. One adult lives in the apartment.

The apartment itself is open, bright, homey, filled with plants and features a balcony off the living room with table and chairs, plants and a spectacular view of downtown, parts of New Jersey and the Central Park Reservoir. There is a separate living room, dining area and a walk-through kitchen. On the other end of the kitchen is a small office/den that is mine. It is an ideal place to entertain your guests if any. The person needs only his toiletries, food and clothes.

I would like a mature, thoughtful, clean individual who does not work from home. I do not want someone who parties all the time.

It is a month to month rental requiring the first month's rent and one month security to be returned the day the person leaves baring no major destruction in the apartment. I require one month's notice or the security will be forfeited.

A couple would be welcome. If so the rent would be $3,000.
