1 Bedroom available in 3 Bedroom

Hii all,

I have a 1 bedroom available in a 3 bedroom apt. price already includes wifi/some utilities. rent is due on the 1st via Venmo or Zelle.

The bedroom has two large windows and faces the courtyard. it has a closet that is skinny but tall and deep. I've seen the room with a full bed, a desk, and a small Ikea cube dresser with room to still do yoga but I'm like average build at 5'2. It will be unfurnished but if that's an issue, I am Open to talking about options for the right person.
The rooms are at the opposite ends of the apt as in we do not share a wall.

There is a third bedroom that I use as an office. If you would like to utilize that, we could have a conversation about it. It would (obviously) cost more monthly and a larger security deposit. Management is fine/ok with maintenance - better than most. If you're a seasoned new yorker, you'll know.

the entire apt is Southish facing and we have Sun all day - I need black-out curtains. Lol. the living room and kitchen are open-space style and has a sturdy fire escape. The water pressure is decent in the shower. I’ve got my dream couch and it’s great to crash on/chill/watch tv. Etc Also my very lush plant shelf. I’d love to add more if you’ve got one. open to new art more plants etc. I've got a pretty stocked kitchen, rice cooker, air frier, coffee machine microwave, pots, pans etc. but I do not mind at all making room; we can even collaborate and I can downsize my stuff if necessary bc we do not need two...rice cookers.

It’s in Bedstuy Brooklyn and I’ve lived here for a long time and I really like it. I like my neighbors and building mates. We face away from the main street, so it's also fairly quiet. The sublease would be month to month - grocery store/parks/bars and train all close by. We are between the Gates and Halsey stop off the JZ train. We have a courtyard/backyard and roof access, laundry in the building (machines are powered via app), and central AC/heat.

I'm Not really the party type but I do go out. I don’t bring the party home- I try and give a heads up if I’m bringing someone over ;) I cook and watch tv often in the common space - I live there, you know. I really made the place home and I want to keep that vibe too. We don’t have to be BFFs but friendly vibes are preferred. This is my haven and I hope that you too will feel safe and welcome.

I'm 34, a Native New Yorker, and I have a full-time day job with a hybrid schedule- probably have to travel some. My mom lives in Yonkers and my sister lives in Harlem and I visit often. I do some sketching, and skating, I like chillin', watching tv, reading, drinking, yoga, and whatnot. I'm pretty Introverted but every now and then I need to release some extroverted energy:)

You must be friendly and 420Friendly:) It would work out best if you also did things and have hobbies or whatever. too::) and again, I don’t mind cleaning regularly but I prefer a teamwork type of sitch. It is preferred that you also have a hybrid type of work schedule. I don’t care about gender or sexuality but I’d prefer an older roommate 30+ on their grind. I’ll say 28+. No Phobies. I do not need nor want to explain why basic human rights and decency is important or why Andrew Tate and all his stans are pos.

I’m clean but not OCD. Sometimes I’ll just smoke and clean Bc it’s something that NEEDS to be done. NYC gets dusty. Small cleans are wiping down counters, sweeping, and tidying up. Big cleans are vacuuming, lint brushing the couch, moving the furniture, and scrubbing. The garbage needs to be taken out regularly. The toilet seat is kept down, Thenn flush - my toothbrush lives there. It's also a great way to shut down the "toilet seat up or down dilemma"
we can create a chore wheel if needed but I hope we can have a general sense of giving a fuxk. I also want to live with someone who understands that we are all human and that sometimes we have our days. Again, I do not mind cleaning and I hope to find someone with the same/similar mindset.

I have a little Yorkie named Reese, she's 11 years old and sweet and cuddly. She does do dog things, like bark at the door, likes bacon(?), etc. I'm not completely against another animal - but we would have to check if the pets vibe. I’d want to feel ok with leaving Reese at home when I go to work or out. Reese also doesn’t shed much and is fully potty trained - Your baby would also have to be - (I get if they're sick etc but that’s not what we’re talking about.) - I have some mild allergies and I can’t be doing my laundry every day.

To move in, I would require proof of income and an ID. I've created a tenant (for legal stuff) and a roommate agreement(for personal stuff/boundaries etc) that we would have to agree and sign on. There is a 30-day notice minimum for a move-out date. There is a 1 month security deposit of $1050 + 1st month $1050. The security deposit is returned after you move out (and I inspect the room and there are no crazy damages)
