Room to rent - W/D in unit, elevator, $730/month

Ad ref# 102232102

Hello! I’m David, (26, male) and my roommate Felix (20s) and I are looking to rent out a small, but well sized room in our big, three bed, rent stabilized apartment near Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, with in unit washer/dryer, and great transport links. It's the smallest and cheapest room in the apartment, but is quite large for its price, with enough room for a double bed, desk, and couch as pictured. It also has a decent sized closet, has great natural light, and an awesome view of the Empire State Building. We are located on the top floor of the building, with an elevator in the lobby. I have lived here for 5 years with roommates, Felix for 1.

Most of the furniture in the main space belongs to an old roommate, so the main space is slightly more sparse now. The cat in the pictures belongs to an ex roommate, so Mimi will not be around unfortunately!! Washer and dryer are located in the apartment itself and work great. For exercise, I own a Peloton bike you’d be welcome to use. The way we currently have the common space set up allows space for a small TV and yoga mat alongside the bike to do floor classes via YouTube or the Peloton app too. We also have views of the NYC skyline from the fire escape and roof.

There is great transportation nearby: Less than 10 mins walk from the B, D, and 4 trains (161st St Yankee Stadium stop), the Metro North, and right by an exit onto the Major Deegan Expressway.

Felix also has a 6 year old pitbull named Leia. She’s *very* sweet, never barks and loves people, but doesn’t do well with other animals so unfortunately can’t welcome any other furry children.

You would sign on to the lease for one year beginning November 1st, the lease is rent stabilized, and the room is $730/month. You’ll also need to pay a one month deposit, and a $50 application fee to the management company when signing the lease.

We have no discrimination against any race, or the LGBTQ+ community. We are friendly, and have lived with both males and females. Looking for someone who is clean and considerate of common spaces, who is willing to contribute their fair share to upkeep and normal cleanliness of the apartment, but also doesn’t need everything to be super clean and organized all the time. I believe open communication, and the ability to speak honestly and kindly to each other is really important in living with others.

Please PM me if you're interested, and we can speak further - looking forward to meeting you!
