ONE Bdrm for rent to ONE quiet, busy person
The apartment is on Lincoln Ave. at north end of the street. It's a two storey apt. building with a small courtyard. The bedroom has a large window facing the courtyard, now lined with a few redwood trees.
The bedroom has a very large closet area, plus a storage area. I'm the Leaseholder, and I've lived here for about 14 years.
.Something to first consider: There would be no shared Living Room since that is where I'm residing now.
This means you, as new tenant would walk through my area to reach your room.....I'm a friendly person, but would not expect a long conversation from you each time you entered or exited the apartment.
....Some may describe it as a safe and pleasantly boring place to live. Few guests, please, if any. I don't want a lot of different folks coming in or out. Guests gone by midnight with occasional overnight guest gone by 9am the following morning.
---My preference is for a Male rent share. I tend to get along better with other guys.
I chose the 'No Smoking' but that means no smoking inside the apartment. I do smoke cigarettes. I stand at the open door. No marijuana. No incense either, as that odor stays for a long time. No illegal drugs.
Alcohol is fine, so long as you stay in control.
Low TV or music sounds at night.
I can only offer street parking nearby on Lincoln Ave.
There is usually a spot available within one block area.

The entire apartment just got new wall to wall carpets installed this summer.
I have Caged Birds. Parakeets and Finches.
I would like bigger Parrots, but they'd be too loud for my neighbors. This means Birds and Fish are fine as your pets, but NO DOGS or CATS.
I am looking to rent to someone already fully employed or with a steady and reliable flow of income that I can verify. I would like at least one Rental Payment reference from you.
I have basic Internet. You should be able to connect thru my account for starters. Eventually, you may need to establish your own account. I don't stream any media.
I don't use Comcast. Past residents did use Comcast, and some of those cables may still be in place.

I'm a Black man. I am open to living with anyone of the right temperment, someone reliable, of good character, who has a little bit of humor about things.
But it does matter to some people, so they should be aware and think about it. I'm informing but not judging them.
I am semi-retired, but work a few hours a week as a counselor to autistic adults in a Group Home.
That means I'm usually here in the apartment.
You would have a key to the door in your bedroom.
I would stay out of your room baring an emergency or unusual incident. I would expect you to keep your area clean and orderly. I'm casual about neatness, not obsessive. I mainly don't want food left out that may attract ants or other. General cleanliness. I will clean the bathroom and kitchen floors as needed.
I would want your rent paid by the 4th of each month.
