Perfect for health professionals! Yorkville/UES

Welcome to Yorkville! Our current roommate is moving out due to family-related reasons, so we have a room available! The medium room has a spacious view overlooking York Avenue of the UES and it's high rise buildings. You will also have a fire escape to sit out on if you want to enjoy the beautiful view. I lived in this room previously and pictured above is how I decorate the space (room will be unfurnished). I just got a brand new AC installed as well.

We have a part-time doorman (3-10 pm) and management staff that are very nice. Laundry is in the basement and is accessible from the elevator or around the back outside. There is a garbage shoot on every floor, so you don't have to walk to the basement to dump trash. Laundry is on the bottom floor in the basement and is accessible via elevator or around the back. Most people residing in the building are young families or senior citizens. A fancy Italian restaurant and a deli share the building with us.

We are just two avenues away from the Q train, an 8 minute walk, and the 456 trains are a bit farther, but the M86 crosstown bus is right outside our building and can take you directly there without walking. We are right by Carl Shulz park and Grace's mansion. When all this COVID clears up, you can enjoy a nice run with view of the East River, Queens, and Roosevelt Island. We are right by Gristedes, Fairway, Duane Reade, and several other shops. 2nd Avenue has plenty of happening bars!

I am a healthcare provider who works mostly evenings and not usually home until 12 or 1 am. Female, Non smoker (no weed or tobacco), occasional drinker. Enjoys reading, learning languages, traveling, etc. No significant other. My other roommate is a Patient Care Coordinator who works four days a week and will have her partner over on the weekends, female, nonsmoker, occasional drinker. As much as I love dogs, the building management does not allow for pets. Do whatever you please outside, but please no weed or other substances in the house.

The living space does not allow for large parties, but having the occasional guest over is acceptable so long as we are respectful to the neighbors. Utilities are around $60 a month ($80 during the summer because of A/C). All I and my roommate expect is a hard-working female (or gay male) who is respectful of our schedules, is mindful and considerate, cleans regularly, and pays the rent on time. Also, we would love to have the occasional girls' night in the apartment to chit chat if all of us happen to be available. If this sounds great to you, you are the right fit.
