Thanks for stopping by my page. I believe it's important for there to be clear communication. I want more than anything to be upfront and honest.
I live in a Pre-War Building on the UWS. . Please note I live right off Broadway. **The street is directly outside the window in the bedroom and living-room. There is always traffic. If you are noise sensitive, this will not be your spot.***
I have my apartment professionally cleaned.
My door is 10 feet from the 1 train at the 103rd st. Subway stop. It is an old elevator building. As it is a pre-war building, it has paint chips and character. Sometimes there is work going on in the building and that is out of my control.
But, It is a perfect, safe place to crash.
There are three places to sit: I have a daybed (which is more for lounging) a table with two chairs to eat and a desk with a wooden chair.
I'm an Artistic Director so the place feels pretty funky. I'm also a yoga instructor and proud to be an honest host.
I am happy to have up to 2 tenants. And please note there is Queen-Sized bed &, a twin Daybed
I provide all linens-100% cotton including feather pillows, a down duvet, towels, etc. My sheets in the bedroom are Brooklinen. The daybed has blankets and feather pillows.
Please know the A/C comes out in Oct. The heat is uncontrollable. There are fans in the windows if it gets too hot.
Please be non-drug users, no smokers and no heavy drinkers and be please be respectful. My neighbors are mostly families.
As this is an old building, sometimes the hot water can be "temperamental" depending on when you shower. Or the elevator might go out. I live on the 6th Floor. They are short flights of stairs for NYC.
As I mentioned, the heat is old fashioned steam heat and unable to be controlled.
Lots of light for NYC. I have black out curtains. I know some cultures are used to this.
There is only one bathroom and my closet is in the bedroom. So my clothes are there. There is room for you to hang your stuff.
Big meals don't works so well as the kitchen is small and isn't really set up for that. I have the basic silverware, plates, dishes, pots and pans, etc.
If you want to live like a New Yorker, with a subway right outside your door. This is the perfect place.
