Furnished beautiful 2BR apartment in Midtown East

I’m looking to fill both bedrooms in my 2BR apartment starting from May 1, 2025 for a short term or month to month lease through the summer.

My sister and I used to live in the apartment but both of us travel a lot for work so we’re subletting both rooms when we’re not around. I’m a 27 y/o who works in tech and my sister is a 23 y/o recent illustration grad from Parsons.

The apartment is located just a few minutes walk from Grand Central and 51st station, right on the 4/5/6 line and the 7 from Grand Central. Also a close walk to the E & M trains at Lex and 53rd.

The larger room is currently furnished with a full size bed and mattress, desk, chair, dresser and wardrobe (see photos). You may bring your own furniture if there’s space, but we cannot remove any of the existing furniture.

The smaller room is furnished with a twin bed, two desks, a built in closet, a dresser and a clothing rack, and we will be keeping most of the existing decor and some personal items in it still.

The larger room is available for longer sublets but the smaller room is ideal for short term stays, since we will still be keeping some of our personal items in it for when we do need to come back to the city.

The rest of the apartment includes a living room with TV, kitchen and bathroom. We like to keep everything very clean and organized so I’m looking for someone who will also be able to keep their space and the common spaces clean (ie. no shoes inside, shared cleaning of kitchen and bathroom, etc.)

Utilities are split half and half between both roommates. Electric (including heat and AC) can range from $35-$150 total depending on the season. The wifi is also split half and half and costs $65 total ($32.50 per person), but is subject to change if Spectrum increases prices. Gas and water are covered by the landlord. There is also coin laundry in the building, shared by 4 other units (all young people in their mid 20s to early 30s). No smoking or pets (building rules).
