Desk, TV, chair, shelves, dresser, and yoga mat (never used) included
I'm going backpacking for the remainder of my lease and need someone to take over. I'm ideally looking for someone to stay for the remainder of the lease, which ends on August 31st, with the option to fully take over the room when it comes time to renew.
The room is 11'x8' in a 4 bed, 1 bath apartment. It's fully furnished with a desk, TV, chair, shelves, dresser, air conditioning, full bed with mattress, and yoga mat (never used) included. If you stay for the entire lease, all of that, in addition to the TV in the living room, becomes your's to do with as you please. Keep it, sell it, break it down for firewood, whatever you want. If you do not intend to stay for the duration of the lease, I'll ask that you leave everything as is for the next person. (Disclaimer: the mattress is stained. You're free to ditch it and get a new one whether you're staying for the full lease or not, but it's your's if you want it. If it were me, I would just get a mattress cover from Target and call it a day.)
It's a great location for anyone, especially for Columbia or City College students. C Town, Duane Reade, and a laundromat are a block away, with two great cafes and tons of good restaurants all within two blocks. Manhattanville Campus is across the and the 1 is a block and a half away, which will get you to Columbia or City College in one stop downtown or uptown respectively.
Your roommates would be two Columbia graduate students and a recent Columbia master's recipient who is now interning at the UN. They're all super friendly and open to hang if you're into that, but they are quite busy and it's rare for everyone to be home at the same time, especially during the semester.
Overall, it's a great spot that has everything you need and I can't recommend it enough. I'm happy to answer any questions you have, and if you'd like to view, we can coordinate with my roommates and set something up.
