Winged, bright apartment in the heart of the LES

Looking for a new roommate to join me in this fab, bright and sunny 2 bedroom winged apartment (rooms at either end of the living space). The apartment is front facing so every room gets plenty of sunlight. Great location with plenty bars, restaurants, galleries and shops near by.

Near Grand, Essex and Delancey Street Station (B, D, F, M, J, Z). Just off Delancey street, near the Williamsburg Bridge.

I've been in this apartment 3 years and love it. I rent directly from the landlord, who is great, and have a live in Super just upstairs, who is always around should anything need fixing. He also brings your packages up too. The building has a great device to let people in from your phone and secret roof access (it's one of those silver roofs that isn't quite legal but has amazing views of the city. I take up camp chairs pretty much everyday in the summer and watch the sun go down). The apartment is on the 5th floor of a walk up, keeps you in good shape! Our great Super is brilliant at helping you up with anything heavy.

The 2 bedrooms are big and fit a queen size bed, bedside table and dresser. If you don't center the bed you can fit a desk too. At the moment we use a fold away table and place it in front of the window each day so we can look outside whilst working from home. We take it in turns to work from the living room to mix things up. Each has a large built in closet and 2 large storage cupboards. The bedrooms get tons of sunlight and heat in the winter. With them at separate ends of the apartment you can't hear each other if you're both in your bedrooms. Bedroom furniture can be left if you want it.

The communal area is small but fits a comfy couch and side table/booze trolly. The breakfast bar offers a place to eat and work.

There's a washer dryer in the kitchen area, which is small but normal size for New York. Big fridge and plenty storage space.

The bathroom has a lovely shower, always hot. Not brand new but definitely nice, and a shallow bath which seems to be very typical of New York. Doesn't cover your boobs but I still get in for a soak!

My current roommate and I have lived together for the last 3 years. She unfortunately has to go back to the UK as her visa is expiring. We have a wonderful set up, which I'm not expecting to replicate but I would like to find someone who is as considerate as she is. We never need to ask each other to clean and always looked out for each other.

If my new housemate would like to, I am happy to cook for each other. Saves cooking everyday, I also find it is nice to make a meal for someone and lovely when someone makes a meal for you. Just something my current and previous housemate did.

I've built up a great group of friends here who I would like to have over occasionally to get ready to go out with or have over for tea and/or wine.

Pre covid I had occasional guests visit from the UK who like to see where I live, so I would like to meet someone who is open to visitors (but not a deal breaker). I love to host but will be totally respectful if my new housemate doesn't.

I've always been really lucky with roommates so hoping my luck with continue! I'm looking for someone who is kind, considerate and easy going. I like to think I'm a good friend to those around me and am always here to listen and drink wine if you've had a terrible day (it happens!).

I work in advertising and tend to travel a fair bit. Pre COVID I was traveling at least 6 times a year. I go away for at least 2 weeks at Christmas and you'd be welcome to have guests to stay in my room.

1st month is free so I've adjusted the rent above to reflect the net amount.
