Tiny lofted UES / Lenox Hill room

Hello Manhattan inclined renters! (Girls only please, sorry fellas!) Our roommate has encountered visa issues and has to leave early, so we're looking for someone to take her place from February 1st to at least August 30 (when the lease restarts), but ideally we'd like someone to stay for the year following that as well. Please read the post all the way through before emailing us!

Tiny spaces are inevitable in this borough unfortunately since rent is out of control, but with vaulted ceilings, natural light and a perfect location, you can't get better than this one!

We are looking for someone to move in on September 1st for a full year lease.

The building is a pretty elevator room with laundry in the basement, and the neighborhood is perfect; it's one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city for a reason. Very safe and quiet, has a ton of great bars & restaurants nearby, and 7 different trains within a ten minute walk so you can get anywhere in the city quickly. We're also right off of one of the new 2nd ave subway stops!

So why's the room so cheap? Here comes the disclaimer: The room is very tiny and it does not have a door, but it has a heavy 12 foot tall curtain for privacy. I'm 5'7'' and lived here for two years having installed a very sturdy loft bed to maximize the space. The room will be furnished with said bed & mattress, and optional bed linens, three dresser drawers in your closet, a lounge chair and a desk & chair underneath (not pictured). As you can see there is room underneath for a dresser, a chair, a small TV stand with a 33 in TV and a curio cabinet, so you can customize. I'm a DIY aficionado, so happy to help install some deco for you.

You'd have two roommates: both very low key, clean, quiet girls, mostly out of the house during the week working and we do not have many guests over. We're looking for someone with similar tendencies. You would have the large entryway closet to yourself which has a vaulted ceiling as well, so bonus storage space on the top shelf. There is also a good amount of storage space underneath the stairs for you.

Rent is $825 plus utilities & internet, usually about $30/month total. To move in we'd need the first month's rent and security deposit, totaling $1650.
