Lovely apt in Kips Bay for 3/1 move-in!

Hello!! I’m looking for a new roomie to join me in my lovely lil apt in Kips Bay! Year lease starts on March 1. $1600/month and $1600 deposit. Utilities not included.

My current roommate is taking most of the furniture with her, so, if you have furniture, cool. Or I’m happy to buy stuff together. It’d be great to really make it our own!

Apt: Awesome, sunlit living room with exposed brick. Kitchen is small, so not ideal for someone that cooks extravagant meals or has a ton of stuff. However, there is a dishwasher and big fridge. The apt is on a busy street, above a karaoke bar, but you get used to it - definitely not for someone who wants to live in a quiet neighborhood. 2nd floor walkup with laundry in building ($). The landlord is amazing and quick to take care of any issues.

Room: The available room faces the back, so it doesn’t have the best view, but you deal with less street noise and it gets amazing sunlight. It comfortably fits a queen bed, dresser, night stand, and small desk.

Location: close proximity to Flatiron, Gramercy, Murray Hill, and the East Village. Close to the subway with several bus options. You can get almost anywhere very easily! Target, Trader Joe’s, and Bed Bath & Beyond all about a 7 min walk (amazing, right?!?), plus we are surrounded by drug stores, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, banks, grocery stores....basically, if you need it, it’s close by! I seriously love the convenience of everything here.

Roommate: me! Female in my 30s, I work in employee experience at a tech company, and I’ve lived in the city 12 years. I’m very low key and easy going, and you’ll find me relaxing during the week after work. I enjoy reading, attempting to keep my plants alive, DIY, trying new coffee shops, spending time in the park, board games, and trashy reality tv...to name a few. I appreciate being friends with my roomies, but have no expectation of being besties. Respect of space and privacy is very much valued, but the spontaneous chit chat or making drinks together is always fun! I’m an outgoing introvert and a little bit of a homebody, so I really love my home being a place of refuge and comfort. I have the best dog, Stella, a 3-year old pibble. She doesn’t bark 🙌🏻 and will cuddle you all day if you let her.

You: above all, kind and respectful. Must be very clean and tidy (seriously though, be someone who wipes up crumbs, cleans the stove when you spill something, etc.) and also value living in a calm and peaceful home. I’m looking for someone who is responsible yet easygoing, mature but appreciates terrible dad jokes, considerate but also knows how to communicate and have a healthy roommate relationship. If you party or like to have people over, this probably isn’t the place for you. While I will never ask you to take care of Stella, I do prefer to live with someone who loves dogs and is excited to have a doggie roommate. Huge plus if you’re vegan/vegetarian 🌱
