$1,115 Per Month Room for Rent in 3-bedroom, 1 bat

Ad ref# 101422048 Mon-Fri ONLY

We have a 1 bedroom for rent in our 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in West Harlem in Manhattan. I am sadly leaving the apartment which I have lived in for the past 5 years with great roommates and need someone to fill my spot! We are looking for someone who can move in between October 1st and October 11th, 2019. I am currently buying a house and the closing date has not been confirmed but I have been given a ballpark range between October 1st and October 11th. So you may need to be flexible with the move-in date if needed. This we can discuss further during when you come to see the apartment and meet the roommates.

The Apartment:
The apartment is on the third floor (stairs, no elevator) on 122nd with the cross street being Frederick Douglas. It is about a 5 min walk to the 125th street MTA Subway station which is on the A, B, C, D lines. The A and D are express lines that take you directly down from 125th to 59th street so it is a quick commute to midtown. It is roughly a 17 minute walk to the closest Metro North Station on 125th. There is a live in super and mailboxes in the lobby (no doorman). The apartment it fully furnished except for the bedroom you would move into. It has a living room/dining room area, kitchen with stainless steel appliances, fridge gas stove, dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom is shared between all three roommates. There are two hallway closets that are used for communal storage.
The Room:
The room is white walls with all hardwood floors throughout. The room does not come furnished but does have closet. It also has one large window and is able to fit an AC unit. (See Photos attached)
The Roommates:
1) Male, 35 years old british soccer coach. Clean, laid back, drama free and social. Works 7 days a week during soccer season.
2) Female, mid 20s and is a 2nd-year grad student at Columbia getting her degree in urban policy. She's very involved in the progressive political scene in NYC, but spends her free time binging Netflix and writing. She's originally from NJ and spent the last 8 years in Boston working at nonprofits that serve people with disabilities.
Roommate preferences:
-Prefer someone who is going to stay for at least 1 year.
-Is employed and able to easily cover the $1,115 rent amount plus utilities.
-non smoker (no smoking of any kind/substance, one of the roommates is very allergic).
-Dogs are ok but not cats or any other types of animals.
-No couples please.
-Does not work night shifts.
Payment:
The rent is $1,115 a month. This does not include utilities.
Utilities that we pay for and spilt between the three roommates are Con Edison Electric and Wifi/internet. We also have a cleaning lady that comes once a month that we split between the three of us which generally runs about $35 a month each.
Once you are chosen for the spot in the apartment you will need to be prepared to write a check, venmo or chase quickpay a security deposit of $1,115 to me and then pay rent to the male roommate from then on after that.
Please contact me if interested to set up a meet and greet with one or both of the roommates and be shown the apartment.
