I am renting 1 room located on the other side of the apartment so you will have privacy.
Rent for room and share of kitchen and bathroom: $1,300 plus 1/2 utilities Average cost is $120 per month for Con Edison Electricity and WiFi Internet - Security Deposit of $1,300 is required. Security Deposit may not be used for final rent payment ). I work from home and use my living room so this space is for limited usage.
I will need to meet you before you move in to see if it is a good fit. You will need to fill out an application - Background and Credit Check at your expense.

I am looking for someone who is quiet and normal who wants to dwell in a peaceful home with no drama. Please be financially stable and pay your bills on time.
I am the only other person in the apartment. I am a Columbia University Graduate, I work from my home and utilize it during the day and am interested in someone who is not bothered by the fact that I work from home.

The cross streets and a feel for the neighborhood - 111th and 8th Avenue Very safe - 2 Minutes away for Central Park and Central Park Conservatory Garden - Neighborhood has plenty of nice restaurants and bars.

You must be clean and keep the room and the apartment clean.
Mentally stable. Friendly, kind, trustworthy and considerate and abide by the rules of the roommate agreement (based on the lease guidelines) Please be respectful of my space and property. I will be respectful of your space and property. Long Term Stay Preferred or Short Term (Short Term 4-6 months minimum stay) No Smoking, No Pets and No Drug Use.

The room can be furnished or unfurnished and is perfect for a student (Columbia University is a short walk away. Columbia Shuttle Runs in the neighborhood.

The room is about 14'x10' with window and closet. 2nd floor walk up. (Two Apartments per floor - 5 Floor Building) Building is very safe and has a fantastic building manager. The apartment is nicely furnished. and has beautiful hardwood floors. Nice size kitchen with tile floor. I am a 20 plus year resident of NYC. 2 minutes from the B & C Subway Line, 10 minutes from 2 & 3 Train and 1 Train on Broadway. Following Buses: M2, M4, M3, M7, M116, M18 two minutes away. M10 bus is right at my front door (uptown and downtown). Apartment is located by two Parks - Central Park and Morningside Park - Beautiful Area.
