The apartment is on the second floor of a renovated pre-war elevator building. There are 2 bathrooms with 3 showers. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a dining and living area including a large sofa and TV (cable and netflix set up). There is an extra large storage closet and space for a bicycle in the hallway. Gas and hot water included, as is a monthly cleaning service. Utilities are $30-$50 per month depending on use (electricity and Wi-Fi). The building has a live-in super.

The roommates are a mix of friendly graduate students and young professionals in their 20s and 30s. Everyone is communicative and helps together to keep the place clean. Though there are 5 rooms the apartment is quiet and peaceful.

The apartment is located in Hamilton Heights, in walking distance to City College and close to Columbia. The 1 train is 2 blocks away and the ABCD trains close by. City-bike stations have now also expanded to the area. The neighbourhood has a lot of great cafes and restaurants (Anchor Wine Bar, ROKC, Chipped Cup, Il Caffe Latte, ...). There are several grocery stores within 5 minutes of the apartment and a laundromat 1 block away. The Riverbank State Park is just five minutes from the apartment.
