This room has its own private staircase leading to this lovely retreat. There are three windows, a cozy sitting area, a sizeable bathroom, a closet and an AC. The room comes fully furnished with a full-sized bed, large dresser, large chest drawer, desk, futon (love seat), end tables, chair and a TV, and plenty of lamps. It is also wired for cable-T. V. and complimentary Internet wireless connection.

The House:

This 5-story, 5500 sq. ft townhouse extensively restored. It has kept all the original historic details, including a glorious parlor floor with mahogany woodwork and three fireplaces. The house is rich in culture and in spirit. It is in a premium location in heart of Hamilton Heights/Sugar Hill, on a quiet and safe tree-lined family block.

The open kitchen with Viking appliances and granite countertops is on the 2nd floor, which you can use for LIGHT (please!) cooking.

Use of the back yard is available to you, when not in conflict with our own use.

We are 2 blocks from 145th St A, C, D, B station on St. Nicholas Ave, and 3 blocks from the 1&9 station on Broadway; with a quick 10 minutes to Midtown by express A or D trains. We are just 3 blocks from City College and 2 subway stops from Columbia University. St Nicholas Park and Riverside Park are just 3 blocks away, as are Super Foodtown, other supermarkets, drug stores, NY Sports Club, Starbucks, etc.

About Ourselves:

We are at our early/mid 50's, with a 18-year old girl. We are mature (past the age of partying late into the night), friendly, respectful, responsible, considerate, quiet and neat. We would ask for the same from you, so as to help keep our house a peaceful, clean, homey and gracious living environment.

There are other three little critters enjoying the house with us - a loving dog of 16 pounds, who is a mix of schnauzer and chihuahua, and two cats, with weighs under 10 pounds, who need beauty sleep of 20 hours a day.

What We Need From You:

The ideal situation would be a career orientated professional. No couples please. You must be a non-smoker. No over-night guests -- no exceptions. No heavy cooking. No drugs. Sorry, no pets. Long term arrangement is preferable.

The rent is $1250 per month, with all utilities included. There is wireless internet connection throughout the house. The room is wired for cable, which is extra. Your credit score and a $1250 security deposit are required.
