$1700 (1 furnished bedroom in a 2BR, 1 bath) in a beautiful and safe, Hudson Heights co-op apartment for a short term share (3-6 months, but also open to longer stays depending on compatibility.)

1 bedroom available in a lovely, quiet (considerate neighbors and neighborhood), spacious, and renovated 2 BR co-op apartment in Hudson Heights. The available bedroom is roughly 11 ft. X 11 ft. and is furnished with a comfortable full-sized bed, dresser, and a closet. $1800 includes rent and all utilities (electric, air-conditioning, gas, cable and WIFI). The apartment is located a few blocks away from the 181st A express train and just a few more blocks to the 1 train, one block away from the Greenway path (for running and cycling all the way downtown) and Fort Washington Park (which includes tennis courts, picnic areas, and the famous Little Red Lighthouse),l ess than one mile from Ft. Tryon Park (home to the Bonnefort, the gorgeous Heather Gardens, and  the Cloisters- The Met's medieval art collection), and close to grocery stores, delis, restaurants, and bars. Citibike (bike share) is next to the apartment building.

The elevator building is well kept and the building amenities include: a part-time doorman (4pm- 12 midnight daily), a full time live in superintendent, 2 laundry rooms (open 24/7), a package room (no stolen packages!) and access to two peaceful garden courtyards with WiFi. 

I am a friendly and considerate, female school psychologist/ homeowner who is looking to share my apartment with a mature, neat/clean, and respectful individual who loves animals (but doesn't have your own) and doesn’t have pet allergies (I have a very quiet and easy going elder-cat). NO SMOKING OR DRUGS ALLOWED. I consider my home a place to relax and not a major social hub. I would prefer a single professional person or graduate student who has typical work hours (outside the apartment), socializes mostly outside of the home, and doesn’t bring home random overnight guests.  I spend a good amount of time in a pottery studio in my spare time and enjoy outdoor activities. I've had great experiences renting out the spare bedroom to international graduate students and visiting scholars from Columbia University (the apartment is near the Columbia/ NYP medical center). This is a SHORT-TERM share, for 3-6 months (but open for a possible extension depending on compatibility), with a flexible start date. 

My home is very clean and ideally you would like to keep our living space clean as well. I vacuum regularly, dishes are put away in the dishwasher immediately after use, and the common areas are very tidy. If this sounds like a compatible living situation, then please do get in touch.
