Room For Rent In East Village

Ad ref# 101173972 Mon-Fri ONLY

Room for rent in sunny two bedroom East Village apartment. Washer/Dryer in apartment. New kitchen and bathroom. Room is available for a 3 month sublet but possible for extension. The the only utilities not included is the extra cost for an air conditioner. Electricity is included, however, I do charge extra for A/C during the summer. It's $25 in addition to rent but depending if it's left on all day it could be higher (though, I don't think anyone leaves it on during the day. It's a small room so it cools off pretty fast).

Apartment is next to a garden so all the windows overlook the garden and trees instead of someone else's window. It's so lovely.

The room is small and furnished with a bunk bed. Of course the bunk bed can be removed but if a bed is needed the bunk bed is wooden and easily separates and becomes one bed. There are two windows in the room that bring tons of sunlight. There is a tall closet.

I'm a hair stylist and jewelry maker. I tend to work from home (making jewelry) two days a week and work in the salon four days a week. I have three cats (yes, I said three. It's embarrassing, I know haha). The oldest is Tina, 10, grey tuxedo. She just sleeps all day in my bed so you'll probably never see her. The second is Jack, 6, tabby. He's a big lovey dope. If you're ever upset or just need a cuddle he loves to give them. He doesn't bite or scratch and he loves belly rubs. The third is Bobby, 6, another grey tuxedo. He was abandoned on me by his previous owner which is how I became a true cat lady. He's another big sweety but he mostly sticks by the window next to my bed so you probably won't see him either. They're very sweet cuddly cats which is always shocks people. Tina is the only one that scratches and bites but it's only if you touch her around her but when she's not suspecting it or if you are being rough with her (but again, you'll probably never see her).

The apartment is fully furnished with great appliances and cookware. All I ask is that you respect the furniture/kitchenware. I'll admit I tend to hide out in my room sometimes b/c I understand that sometimes it can be nice for a roommate to feel like they can have some alone time with the apartment especially since the room for rent is so small... But my room is small too so I'm also open for roommate hangs if that's your thing. I tend to overcook when I cook so I'll always leave a container of food in the fridge for whoever is my roommate in case they want it. If not, no biggie :)

The apartment is next to Thompson Square Park. There is a supermarket right on the corner. Tons of bars and restaurants. Tons of shops. It's heeps of fun! The best part is it's on a block with no bars so no drunk loud people walking down the block heading to bars.
