Safe new hi-rise building on a quiet tree-lined street in Chelsea (West 22nd St., between 7-8th Aves.). Lovely, safe, clean lobby with seating for waiting guests.

Near all transportation (subways: # 1, A, B, C, D, E, F, L, N, R; cross-town bus, Penn Station, PATH train, Jersey Transit, Port Authority, Amtrak. Fun, young neighborhood, a few blocks from the Chelsea Piers, the Hudson River & new waterfront parks there (great & breezy in the summer), art galleries, & the HighLine Park. Nearby neighborhoods: Hell's Kitchen, Flatiron District, Gramercy Park, East & Greenwich Village, Union Square, the trendy Meat-Packing District, Garment Center, theater district. Great inexpensive gym a few blocks away, with an indoor pool. 5 supermarkets in neighborhood (Trader Jo's, Whole Foods, Westside Market, Gristedes, & Fairway).

To share a fully-furnished one-bedroom apartment (the private large-sized 11x14 bedroom is yours, with a king-sized bed with linens & towels, flat-screen t. v. with DVD capability. VCR & loads of movies; desk, closet, bureau, shelving, & a window that faces a quiet courtyard). With all modern conveniences; part-time doormen, 2 elevators (4th floor), laundry & garage in the basement, 2 A/Cs, dishwasher, microwave, & hi-speed internet access.

Occupancy: move-in date May 1. One month's rent plus half of the utilities (your share of 2 utilities is $100), & a security deposit of the same amount, so $1,375 total per month. References a must.

I have one friendly cat, so I hope you're not allergic. Prefer non- or light-smoker (not in the apt), who is clean, responsible working or full-time student, semi-quiet with no drinking or drugging problems. I am a non-smoking, youthful, mature female...clean, quiet, respectful & friendly. I am looking for a roommate who does not require sleepovers & socializes outside the apt as I do. Exceptions can be discussed.
