Bright and Spacious 2-Bed/2-Bath in Culver City!!

About the place: This 2-bed, 2-bath apartment is spacious and bright, thanks to super-high ceilings in the living room and tons of windows. Located a 10-minute walk to downtown Culver City, it’s less than a minute to the I-10. The clichés about Culver City are totally true, because I can get to Santa Monica, Downtown, Beverly Hills, or West Hollywood in 20 minutes or less. Within a three block radius there are two grocery stores, an amazingly inexpensive gas station, Starbucks, post office, nail salon, multiple restaurants, urgent care, 2 pharmacies, and a bunch of other useful stuff. The apartment comes with covered, gated parking. The landlord replaced both the dishwasher and microwave within the last year, so the appliances are all pretty new. Although there isn’t in-unit laundry, the laundry room is just a couple doors down the hall. There’s a super nice on-site building manager who will come ASAP if there’s any clogged drains etc. He doesn’t speak much English, so if you speak Spanish that would be a bonus, but if not it’s okay because I’ve developed a sticky note communication system with him that seems to be working . I’m pretty into houseplants, so there’s a fair amount of greenery in the common spaces. Besides the aesthetics, I’d like to think the plants contribute to somewhat better air quality in the apartment. That might be wishful thinking, but either way they look nice and the living/dining area is fully furnished. The apartment also has a patio, and there’s a HUGE extra storage closet just for you in the living room in case the big bedroom closet isn’t enough. I’ve got my own bathroom, so you would be the only person using the bathroom in the pictures. I also measured the bedroom, and it’s 12’8” x 10’3” – I’m not great at visualizing space, so if it helps my previous roommate had a queen size bed, nightstand, bookshelf, and large desk in there with room to spare.

About me: I’m a 31-year-old female professional/grad student – currently, I’m working full time while finishing my doctorate in clinical psychology. So yes, I’m a therapist; but don’t worry, at the end of the day I want to chill, not probe the depths of your psyche. Because I work in a psych hospital, I’m also fully vaccinated against COVID! (I don’t know if that helps you at all because the science is still out on that, but at the very least you know I won’t be getting super sick and leaving you to do all the cleaning). I work a lot, so at home I’m usually either relaxing or doing work on my computer. It’s kind of boring for me, but it means I’m a quiet and respectful roommate. Oh, and I’m Canadian so you know I’m super polite. I like my apartment to be my oasis, so I rarely have people over. I have two rescue cats named Leo and Luc (AKA the besties without testes) who have been described as “the closest thing to Garfield I’ve ever seen in real life” and “little weirdos.” They would probably like to be your friend, but you can also keep them out of your room if you want to. They’re okay with cat-friendly small dogs and other cats, so it’s cool if you have a fur-baby of your own. If not, this could be your opportunity to live with a couple of goofy, cuddly kitties without having to do any of the work or pay for food . I’m a vegan, so the apartment is definitely veggie-friendly if that’s important to you, but I won’t judge whatever your food preferences are. If there’s anything else you want to know, just ask. I’m LGBT+ friendly, and open to living with any gender.
