Sunny Private Furnished Room Rental Now - Dec 31

I have a private furnished room to rent in my home in Baldwin Park, available now until December 31, 2021, while the regular occupant is away. Rent is $600 a month, single occupancy only (meaning 1 person).

This isn’t a hotel or an AirBnB. This is my home. I’m not looking to just fill a vacant room for money. I'd like to know who it is that will be living with me. So, if you're not willing to answer basic rental questions and tell me a bit about yourself, please move on!

Please start by answering the following questions so I can get to know our future housemate. Thanks!

(1) Tell me bit about yourself (hobbies, interests, binges, a funny story, or something, etc)
(2) What do you do? How long have you been doing that?
(3) Why are you looking for a sublet?
(4) What date are you looking to move in? Move out?
(5) Does your current landlord/roommate know you are moving and would they give you favorable references?
(6) Have you ever been evicted or asked to leave a living situation? If so, why?
(7) What is your Covid protocol? Are you vaccinated or planning to be?

IMPORTANT CONDITIONS:
☑ MUST have verifiable income.
☑ NO Smoking. NO Pets. (NO guests - due to Covid).
☑ MUST be organized and clean up after yourself promptly.
☑ MUST be aware and considerate of the spatial constraints of sharing a home with many others.
☑ MUST take a Covid test upon move-in and wear a mask in the house until the test comes back negative.

YOU: are a reliable, courteous, self-aware, respectful, trustworthy, clean, well-organized individual who is able to communicate effectively, takes responsibility for their actions and thoroughly understands spatial equality. (Lots of adjectives, I know!)

⋆ RENT: $600 month single occupancy
⋆ AVAILABLE: Now - 12/31/2021 (6 month minimum)
⋆ INCLUDES: Utilities (for reasonable use), wifi, kitchen & laundry use
⋆ PARKING: Readily available on the street
⋆ VIEWING: Since Covid is still an issue, viewing will initially be via video chat -- after you tell me about yourself and are deemed a good fit for the household. If all goes well, we can then schedule an in-person viewing.

THE ROOM: approximately 130 sq ft, furnished with a full-size bed, a desk, 2 dressers, and a window A/C (no closet).

THE HOUSE: has 4 bedrooms, 2 shared bathrooms, a living room, a den/family room, a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer/dryer, ceiling fans, window A/C's, a yard, patio, BBQ, fire pit and in yard bicycle parking.

THE HOUSEMATES: In addition to two adorable and well-trained dogs, there are 3 female identifying and 1 male identifying humans in the household. We are an international and LGBTQ+ friendly bunch of 30's-40's housemates brought together by the Couchsurfing community so we're big on trust, karma, generosity, cultural exchange and communication. We are a cancer researcher, private teacher, technology director, and small business owner/homeowner. We enjoy occasional household BBQ's, movie/TV nights and Covid-safe outings.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: is very walkable with 4 grocery stores, 2 drug stores, several fast food/restaurants, Starbucks, a park, the post office and several bus lines all within a 7-15 minute walk. The Metrolink is a 15-20 minute walk from the house (and will get you to DTLA/Union Station in 3 stops). Target, Walmart, the West Covina Mall and the Original In N Out Burger can all be reached with a 7-15 minute drive.

LOCATION: The house is approximately 12 miles from Pasadena, 17 miles to DTLA, 23 miles to Hollywood or Disneyland and 35 miles to Santa Monica. Near the 605, 10 and 210 freeways.

MOVE-IN INFORMATION:
→ Must have verifiable income.
→ Possible background and credit check.
→ Move-in cost is $600 for the 1st month’s rent.
→ No deposit required, since I live in the house (Note: You will be required to pay for anything you break or damage.)
→ You will be required to sign a room rental agreement.
→ You will be expected to read, understand and abide by the household information and etiquette guide. (This is mostly common sense info and explains the amenities and features in the house.)
→ You must take a covid test upon move-in and wear a mask in the house until the test comes back negative.
