About this room:
This unfurnished corner room with two windows and a built in closet is situated in a spacious two bedroom apartment on the third floor (top floor) of a brick stone walk-up apartment building with six units. It has laminate flooring, a ceiling fan and one of the windows exits to the fire-escape which also might be used to catch fresh air. The shared (which will be shared with the two of us) kitchen and bathroom areas are fully equipped with appliances, dishes etc. and are fully furnished!

Where the apartment is located:
The apartment is located in close proximity to the public transit. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get to TriBeCa (World Trade Center). Two Light Rail stations are in proximity to the apartment (Garfield Stop - 9 minute walk and Richard Street - 12 minute walk), which is really good to get to the downtown area or to a PATH train to get to NYC. The expressway is also right around the corner if you do have a car! Also, Lyft and Uber are pretty affordable here to the path, airport (Newark) etc. so thats also an option (in Jersey, if you go from here to NYC the price hikes up like someone's blood pressure when they're mad)!

About me:
My name is Xavier and I am who you will be sharing the apartment with! I have a cat named Sushi and she is a lap cat! She is calm and kind and she will be roaming around the apartment (shared areas), minding her business. I am a student and I go to school in NYC. I am pretty easygoing and carefree for the most part! I am vegan and do not mind if you use my kitchen appliances, but I just ask to clean them thoroughly after usage! I am a clean person; therefore, I would like someone who is also clean and will take part in cleaning the shared areas (on a weekly basis)! I am 22 and I do listen to music sometimes loudly on the sound bar & subwoofer or my small Bose speaker (the neighbors from time to time also listen to music loudly), so that is a disclaimer. With the music disclaimer being said, I am respectful and do not mind if you listen to music or so. I have made this our home (since I am not from the Tri-State area) and I would like a kind person to share this with me! When I am not out at a concert or at school or working, I am at home enjoying the lovely space and relaxing from the extra city.

More Information:
The apartment building does not house a laundry room, but fret not! There's a laundry service that picks up and drops off laundry for a dollar per pound! It is great and convenient.

PAYMENT:

The monthly rent for the room is $750.00. This is a catch when compared to rooms in NYC and the proximity to downtown Manhattan! Upon moving in, I would need first months rent of one month ($750) and $750 for a security deposit. In total, that will be $1500 upon moving in (the security and first month's rent are NOT negotiable). Before moving in, I ask for a background check as well ($45). Utilities are split amongst the two of us (wifi and gas/electricity), which will be approximately $100 dollars per person. (Note: This does fluctuate and does become higher in the winter time because of the heating)
