This room is available from July 01st - August 25th 2019. We would prefer someone to sublet the room for the entire block of time.

We are a group of young professionals living in a spacious three-story townhouse in the Ironbound area of Newark. The current roommates are an editor, two teachers, and a PhD student. (2 small dogs also live in the house)

The townhouse is in a small gated community with convenient access to public transit: the #1 bus stops right outside of the gate, and Newark Penn Station (NJtransit to midtown NYC in 20 minutes; PATH train to World Trade Center in 30 minutes) and the Harrison PATH station are each a brisk 15-minute walk from the apartment. Close to Seton Hall University, Rutgers Newark and Essex County College.

The townhouse has 2-and-a-half bathrooms, central heating and AC, a washer/dryer (located on the third floor), and two parking spaces that rotate between roommates on a monthly basis. Utilities include wifi, hot/cold water, electricity, central heating/AC.

The room available is on the second floor and shares a full bathroom with two other roommates. The room is fully furnished (see picture below); linen and pillows not provided. No smoking in the bedroom allowed; no couples.

Applicants must be:
*Willing to help keep the place clean. On a rotating schedule, one roommate thoroughly cleans all common spaces each weekend, and the applicant must be willing to adhere to this arrangement;
*LBGT- and PoC-friendly;
*Respectful of other people's schedules and able to keep things quiet when other roommates need to sleep;
*Able to deal with a chihuahua who barks but is otherwise harmless
