My apartment is a large, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit in a historic, 4 floor Cleveland Park building, with a 3 minute walk to the Cleveland Park metro & downtown Cleveland Park. The unit is furnished. The kitchen has a newly installed dishwasher., with a free laundry room in the basement. Trash must be taken out to containers behind the building. This is a 12-month lease, starting April 1, 2025. Rent includes utilities, internet, and Apple TV.
The room for rent comes furnished with an adjustable desk, a bed, a bedside table, and a rolling clothes rack to supplement the smaller closet. The photos of the second bedroom and the bathroom are from Redfin, because I have some wall and other repairs to make.
Downtown Cleveland Park hosts a number of convenient businesses, including a Target, a Streets Market, a Yes! Market, a CVS, a Post Office, and a beautiful public library. There are also several nature trails nearby, with Rock Creek Park right in our backyard. DCP is about a 30 minute walk to Adams Morgan and a 45 minute walk to Dupont Circle, which are popular DC destinations.
About me: I am the owner of the apartment and have had good experiences with roommates in this apartment in the past. I am fifty-years old who is unhappy with the current administration. As a social introvert with a small circle of friends, I stay in most evenings. Professionally, I am in a period of transition, so I am home during the workday.
Who I am looking for: I am hoping to find a good communicator who is friendly and courteous and past their partying phase. Someone who is willing to keep the place tidy and engage in a laid-back cleaning schedule. Drug use, including weed, is not allowed in this building, and quiet hours are from 11pm to 7am. I do prefer people around my age group for reasons I will share when we meet.
