Nerdy Shared Living in Carrollton

Our home is shared by a cadre of close friends, and we find ourselves at the moment with a room available that we would like to rent. We are all mature 30-something professionals, each with our own reasonably nerdy interests, and ideally we would like to add a like-minded individual (or couple) to our little family, if only for a time. We have lived together for quite some time, and have a pretty comfortable dynamic around the house, and we would hope that any potential roommates would be just as comfortable and easy going.

There is a house cat who pretty much has the run of the place, and doesn't like closed doors, but the rest of us value and respect each other's privacy quite heavily, though we do play board games, go out to dinner, watch TV and Movies together - oh and don't forget Sunday brunch. While incoming roommates are obviously not expected to participate in any activities, you will of course be welcome.

Now, the room available for rent is 11x12, with a front-facing window and four door wall closet. It shares a bathroom with the bedroom right next to it, so shared space cleanliness is expected.

Listed Rent is inclusive of all utilities, and free use of the FireTV stick (we have most subscriptions, but do not have cable), r&m and upkeep (pool cleaning, pest control, home warranty, etc...), as well as common-use items such as coffee, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, toilet paper, and the like. One price, one payment, no ups and downs.

Pets are considered, but as mentioned before, we do have a cat. She generally ignores other animals, but if your pet doesn't like other pets, we won't be able to take them. The cat really is the landlord around here. Pet Deposit is $300.

Couples are welcome for consideration. Rent would be $500/each. The break down on that is: One Person = $800($500 Room/$300 Utilities & Shared Costs). Two People = 2x$500 ($250 Room/$250 Utilities and Shared Costs).

Prospective roommates will need to interview with all existing roommates. We aren't looking to grill anyone, but we do want all to be on board with an incoming resident. References and background will be checked as well.
