We are a couple with a 1-year-old Keeshond puppy. She has lots of energy and loves to play, but she loves everyone. Our house is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house in a quiet residential neighborhood. We have a decent-sized yard with a grill and fire pit you're welcome to use. One of us is a 20-year teacher; the other has been job searching after a layoff and spends her time managing a yoga studio and substitute teaching. We both work onsite during the week and are frequently home on weekends and evenings. We try to keep the house picked up and clean up after ourselves and are looking for someone who will do the same. The bathroom is located in the hallway, and we do not use it when we have a roommate. If we have friends or family over (not often, but occasionally), they may use the bathroom, hence why we call it semi-private.
We're looking for someone clean and mostly quiet. You could be a professional or a student. We're happy to suggest fun things if you're new to the area. We've had two roommates in the past who were on travel contracts and we got along with them great. You'll have full access to the kitchen, which is fully furnished as well. We ask that you provide your own food and don't prepare shellfish in the house (due to a severe allergy). You'll want to be a dog person since we have a puppy, but there is no expectation for you to play with or take care of her. Of course, if you want to play with her, she'll love it.
The room is medium-sized and has a queen bed, two nightstands with lamps, a dresser, a desk, and a desk chair. There is also a smart TV, which provides streaming services. There is a washer and dryer in the garage, which you can use. We provide cleaning supplies and laundry detergent.
If you are two people or have a pet, there may be a price difference due to the all-inclusive rent price. We cover the cost of all utilities. If you have a dog, we can discuss if that's an option. The dog would need to be house-trained, and our two dogs would need to get along. Sorry, we can't have cats in the house due to cat allergies.
If you're interested, we'd love to chat. We were really sad to part ways with our last roommate as her travel contract ended, but we're excited for who the next person(s) may be. I'll add more photos soon!
