Furnished upstairs bedroom with a shared bathroom available for $975. It’s a month to month contract with a $500 security deposit. Must show proof of COVID vaccines.
PLEASE read the following CAREFULLY, better to begin with no misunderstandings!
The kitchen is shared and is only available from 7:30am to 9:30pm due to our bedroom being adjacent. A coffee maker and microwave are available upstairs for the in-between hours. Open to the idea adding a small refrigerator. We are for the most part vegetarian and though you don’t need to be vegetarian yourself (it WOULD be nice), we don’t want meat cooked in the kitchen. Chicken and turkey are ok as I occasionally cook these for our dog. There is a gas grill outdoors that you can use for other meats and fish.
A washer and dryer are also available in the garage.
There a shared living room, with a fireplace and a piano, and a big back garden with a pretty and comfortable patio, perfect for studying or just relaxing.
Parking is on the street.
You do not have to be OCD clean, (in fact if you are WE will probably make YOU crazy) but a reasonable amount of cleanliness is expected. You must clean up after yourself in the kitchen, put your dishes in the dishwasher and help to keep the shared bath clean.
No drama and no overnight guests unless by prior agreement.
I am an artist and my studio is upstairs on basically on the same level as the rooms for rent. I pretty much only use it between 8:00am and 6:00pm so mostly when you would be at work or school.
Most importantly, you have to love dogs! We have a small dog who is “our baby” and we need to know that you will be happy living with him, too. Fair warning-he feels it his duty to let us know when there is anyone walking past the house or on the porch (postal carrier, delivery people), so if this will bother you, don’t apply. All he needs is for someone to open the door and show him that they’ve gone on and say, “Thank-you, that’s enough” and he’ll stop. If you truly are a dog person this shouldn’t be a problem for you. We also are open to considering another small, well behaved dog if we find that they get along well with ours.

So, about us. We are a mostly retired couple who have lived in this home for 30 years. It is too big for us anymore but we love it and are not ready to sale and move on so we’d rather share.
We are home a good deal of the time but also like to travel, often in our little Casita travel trailer.
We are very liberal minded so if you even thought about voting for Cheeto or you have a problem with “woke-ness” don’t bother to apply, we would not be a good match. Nor would we be if you are prone to talking a lot about your religion. That said, we are completely open to persons of any race or religion and are lgbtq+ friendly. A couple would be fine but only if you take both rooms. We’d prefer to have people significantly younger than ourselves in the house. Generally more fun to have around!
