About roommate: I’m a 55-year-old retired software engineer turned substitute teacher and yin yoga and meditation teacher. I try to stay physically, emotionally, and mentally fit and enjoy long bike rides along the coast and long walks with my dog whenever I’m able. I’m very conscientious about how I affect others and I make decisions based on finding balance between individual needs and the needs of the greater good. My heart is clear and open and my mind, while not perfect, cares and tries and I’m looking for a roommate that shares those values. I’m gay but identify as consciousness ultimately.
About Apartment: Six blocks from the beach. Two blocks from Abbot Kinney. Centrally located in Venice. I've been living in the apartment for a little over 3 years. Everything about the apartment is open to discussion for the right person. The person must be drama-free and non-defensive in nature. We need to be able to talk about roommate related topics without taking things personally. I currently have the larger room and would be paying a few hundred dollars more than the new person but that is open for discussion. I have a small senior dog who is very well behaved and loving. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, nice blender, electric water kettle, and air popper. The living room is furnished but the available room is not. I do have a small couch that folds flats and a small desk available if needed. I'm open to changing the living room If you have stuff that you would like to use. As I said, everything is open to discussion. Finding the right heart is the most important thing.
