Come home to a zen-retreat treehouse. Located on top of a hill, under the branches of a beautiful big tree. Nice views of Mt. Baldy and sunrises through east-facing picture window in living room. Vaulted ceilings. Hardwood floors throughout. Central air/heat.

I would prefer to rent the room to one female-identifying person, as we will be sharing the only bathroom in my home.

We are more likely to get along if you enjoy a quiet home, and will contribute to keeping the common areas clean and tidy.

Earliest available move in date: July 1st. I would prefer someone to move in by mid-July.

Rent: $1100 per month plus $50-100/mo utilities. Security Deposit: $1100. Includes one dedicated off-street parking spot in the driveway. On-site washer + dryer.

No pets. Smoke-free, drug-free home. Shoes off inside our home. Covid vaccination required. My home is not handicap accessible: There are stairs down from the street level and up to the front door.

The bedroom to be rented is cozy, approximately 11.5 ft x 10.5 ft plus closet (about 120 sq. ft.) This room is appropriate for one person only. The room is unfurnished. Easily fits a queen size bed, desk, and more.

The following common areas will be shared with housemate/resident landlord: Bathroom with full tub. Kitchen with gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle. Living/dining room. Washer + dryer in basement.

Beautiful 125 year old banyan tree on the premises, plus a backyard. This is a duplex property. My co-property owner lives in a separate house next door. We are into composting, recycling, and otherwise being gentle on the environment. The property has a whole house water filter, so showers and water from every tap inside and outside are delicious and pure! Internet, water, and trash are included. Electricity & gas utilities divided between myself and the incoming housemate, averaging $50-100/mo.

Great Pasadena Location. Beautiful walkable neighborhood... just a few blocks from Arlington Garden, a free community plant-filled oasis. Easy freeway access to the 110, 210, and 134. Within 1.5 miles of Old Pasadena and South Pasadena restaurants, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and more. 15 min drive to Caltech, Occidental College, and Pasadena City College.

About me: I’ve lived in my home since 2008. I’m into healthy cooking, nature, hiking, AcroYoga, and climbing. I am fully vaccinated, and am very careful about COVID-safety protocols. I work and study from home most of the time, and sometimes teach at a couple different colleges, organizations, and businesses.

My ideal housemate is female-identifying, friendly, responsible, and a good communicator. Someone who wants to co-create a quiet, clean, peaceful environment, a sanctuary to come home to. Someone who works full time or goes to school full time.

Minimum 6 month lease*, then month-to-month.
*OPEN to having a short-term renter between June 29 until July 29, which would cost $1275 for that time period, utilities included.

Rental application required, which is $35, and non-refundable. This includes a credit check, criminal background check, as well as housing and employment reference checks.
