Private room for rent with private bathroom (detached) in a great location. Rent is $1643. Deposit is $1550. There will be an increase in rent (about $35) in September. Utilities range $150-200 a month. 3-6 month lease but can be longer if it is a good fit. Move in date is anytime in July (prorated). Late June is possible. Good credit/job is required for building management/application. I will ask for roommate references. Since the lease is short term and the apartment is furnished except your room, this is perfect for someone who travels a lot but needs a quiet place close to the beach and everything.

Location: Eight blocks away from the beach (15 min walking distance), 10 min walk to downtown Santa Monica, 5 min walk to Montana Ave which is known for coffee shops and cafes. Location is great where it is quiet enough and away from tourists but very accessible to everything. Also located on the bus line and 10 min walk to the metro Expo line which takes you to downtown.

The Apartment: Building has an unique architectural exterior from the 1960s but updated with more improvements in progress. Amenities include pool, small gym, community room, washer and dryers, private parking (tandem parking), and a beautiful interior courtyard. Neighbors are a mix of quiet young professionals and families. Apartment is spacious and decorated in the style of mid century modern. I kindly note that the kitchen is on the smaller side/enclosed with limited ventilation so I cannot tolerate strong smells and seafood. Your room is cozy and faces the interior courtyard. Storage is limited.

Myself: 31, scorpio, gay and single, but not into the Weho scene. Originally from Connecticut. Generally keep to myself and can be a homebody to recover from work. I work in construction management and started my own agency. My career can be demanding and stressful so it is important for me to have a quiet/relaxing space. For that reason, I rarely have guests over. I get up at 4:30 am for gym, then come back and get ready for work. I try to be quiet but if you’re a light sleeper, it will not work out. Generally home around 4:30pm. I like to keep common spaces clean and clutter free. Not OCD about it but it makes my life easier. I do have a small sweet dog, Diego. He is very independent but loves to play. Sorry, no cats or large dogs but another small dog can be discussed as Diego does not get along with all breeds. My interests: working out, flea/antique markets, diy projects, meal prep, picnics, card games, low key bars and bike rides at the beach.

You: M/F, gay/straight, etc. I don’t care. As long as we share similar vibes and interests, we will get along. The roommate moving out lived here for four years. Before him, I lived with a female in her late 30s and she was the best roommate I lived with (moved out to be with her fiance). Not looking for people who are partiers, have one night stands, messy, lazy, negative, etc. Would appreciate mid century enthusiasts. Please share your social media links, hobbies/interests, and anything I should know.
