One bedroom (11ft x 11ft) in a 2-bd, 1.5-ba craftsman house for rent. Bedroom is furnished with: - a twin-sized bed, - desk and desk lamp, bookshelf, - ceiling fan and light, - large wool rug, - nightstand and lamp. - Also, a space heater if you need extra heat during the winter.
Two closets each offer built-in drawers and shelves, as well as racks for hangers. Three west-facing windows provide ample sunlight and don on a fence shared with next door neighbor's house. Large shared bathroom offers two vanities and many drawers and cabinets. I'd also make room in the kitchen cupboards and in the refrigerator for your items. The house also has a breakfast nook as well as family, living, and dining rooms. The house is spartan with essential furniture and clean surfaces. I would prefer a tidy roommate who keeps few belongings in the common spaces.
A garden surrounds the house.
No smoking (except outside), no additional pets, partying, drugs/heavy alcohol, firearms, or overnight guests, please.
I am a single woman in her 40s. I work at the office five days per week and am pretty quiet. I spend my weekends mostly taking care of errands, being a handywoman for the inevitable fix around the house, and making visual art. I sometimes travel for work, away for about 3-5 days at a time, and would ask you help feed the cat twice a day. The cat is low-maintenance, and small, friendly and splits her time indoors and outdoors.
Parking: There is plenty of space on the street and it is shaded under old-growth oaks. Tenant will have to go to Pasadena City Hall to acquire the annual permit. If you are a student, you just need to fill out the City's form and submit it for a permit. The fee is waived for students per January 2024.
Easy access to public transportation: 12-min walk to Metro Gold Line Allen Station 5-min walk to Pasadena Transit or Metro buses 2-min drive to 210 freeway
Utilities: We will split utilities expenses 50/50. To give you an idea: when I live here alone, it costs me $125 per month.
First month's rent + $1400 deposit = $2500 to move in.
